Entry requirements

All foreign nationals or landing immigrant in the Netherlands do not need visa to enter to the Dominican Republic, but should bring a valid passport from their country of origin and their Dutch Landing Immigrant Card.
Dutch citizens can enter the Dominican Republic with Dutch valid passport.  Same principle applies to residents or nationals of the United States of America, the European Union and Canada, they can also enter to the Dominican Republic with the presentation of a valid passport. In all cases passports (Dutch or foreing passports) must be valid for three months minimum from the date of  departure and the purchase of the tourist card at the port of arrival in the Dominican Republic or at the Consular Section of our Embassy in The Hague (Normally the tourist card is already included in  charter flight tickets). Landing immigrants in the Netherlands should bring a valid passport from their country of origin and the Dutch Landing Immigrant card.  Some tour-operators include the tourist card in their travel packages.

 Exception:

The nationals of countries with which the Dominican Republic have visa agreements and the nationals of countries authorized to travel with tourist cards do not need visa to enter the Dominican territory.

The nationals of the following countries do not need visa or tourist card to enter the Dominican Republic:

Argentina, Chile, South Korea, Ecuador, Israel, Japón, Perú, Uruguay.

The diplomatic and official nationals (with diplomatic, official or military service passports) of the following countries do not need visa to enter the Dominican Republic:

Argentina, Belize, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, South Korea, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Italy, Israel, Japan, México (except official passports), Morocco, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Liechtenstein, Santa Sede, Switzerland (except official passports), Ukraine, Uruguay, Chinese Republic (Taiwan).

The nationals of the following countries just need a tourist card to enter the Dominican Republic:

Andorra, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Barbados, Belgium, Brazil, Bolivia, Canada, Costa Rica, Croatia, Denmark, Dominica, Slovakia, Slovenia, El Salvador, Spain, United Status (including Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, St. Thomas, St. Croix, St. John and Hawaii), Finland, France (including French Guyana, Martinique, Guadalupe and Reunion), Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Macedonia, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, UK, Netherlands, St. Kitts and Nevis, San Marino, San Vincent and Grenadines, St. Lucia, Sweden, Switzerland, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands, Venezuela.

 MINORS.

Non-Dominican minors or Dominican minors residing abroad DO NOT require special documents to travel to the Dominican Republic as long as they enter and leave the country with the same person(s).

If a child will be departing the country with a different person than he or she entered with, a legal document must be obtained as proof that this has been authorized by the parents or guardian. This document must take the form of a letter of consent from the parents or legal guardian signed in front of a Notary Public or Solicitor. The document must contain the names and passport numbers of the persons accompanying the child on both legs of the journey and the dates of outward and return travel.

The document must be legalised by both the Ministry of Foreign affairs of the Netherlands and the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in the Kingdom of the Netherlands prior to departure. The document:

1) Must first be sent to the Legalisations Office of the Ministry of Foreign affairs of the Netherlands.
2) Must then be sent to the Consular Section of the Embassy.

By post:
• The document will take seven working days to be processed.
• A Recorded/Special Delivery Envelope must be provided to return the   document. We regret we will not be able to return documents if a pre-paid   envelope is not provided. We strongly recommend you send your   document to both offices by Recorded/ Special delivery.
• All payment must be made by Postal Order or Banker’s Draft; payable to   the Embassy of the Dominican Republic. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHEQUES.
